Diversified Mold & Castings has been dedicated to their customers by producing high quality aluminum castings and tooling since 1939. We cast many different types of metal including Aluminum, Zinc, & ZA Alloys in both Plaster and Sand Molds, additionally offering many different tooling methods
Along with aluminum castings, Diversified Mold & Castings produces tooling for many well-known production plastic formers, foundries, and pattern shops across the United States and internationally.
Today, the company operates out of a 68,000 square foot facility in Warrensville Heights near Cleveland, Ohio.
The company began 77 years ago as a family owned business. It is still family owned; Vince is a partial owner and has worked there his entire life which is “North of 25 years”. When he started working at Diversified full time in 1993, there were 5 employees. He really wanted to see the business grow. There are now 42 employees.
Vince met Fred at an ARM show just a few years ago, but “we hit it off” and knew that we could help each other out with referrals. Sixty percent of Diversified Mold and Casting business is Rotational Molding.
What makes Diversified different within the business is that they do ALL IN HOUSE MOLDS. They build molds for the agricultural industry; water storage tanks, the military, and the toy industry just to name a few.
Additional services provided by Diversified are mold refurbishing services, in house texturing, in house rework and revision services. They do machining, sandblasting, Teflon coating, commercial casting and defense related castings.

Why does Diversified sponsor the PDC? According to Vince he is always happy to “further the industry” and to help out. At Diversified, they “think outside the box” and he wants to help promote the students endeavors so that they “think outside the box” as well. Vince understands that a lot of hard work and time goes into the Product Design Competition and he appreciates Winsell’s willingness to organize this annual competition. He said that Diversified will help in any way that they can. He’d be happy to have his sales engineers talk to the students as well.
